Strategic Plan / Annual Workplan
Strategic Planning
In 2025 the Delhi Chamber completed a strategic planning process. We took a good look everything we have done and thought about how we could become an even better chamber.
A quick summary of our process:
What has worked well in the past? (continue this)
What do the best chambers do? (We looked at and contacted other nearby chambers)
What could be the most valuable activities for our members? (brainstorming)
What do our members think? (We talked to about half of our members)
What would attract new members? (We talked to some non-member businesses)
We reviewed and improved our Mission, Vision, and Values
We created a 3 year improvement plan (Our Strategic Plan)
We identified what we can get done in the first year (Annual Workplan)
The Results:
New Vision Statement:
A dedicated chamber delivering top-tier support for our members on key business focus areas along with expert guidance on additional topics from the most trusted sources.
New Mission Statement:
To deliver timely and relevant information and services that drive business growth for our members.
Our New Values:
Integrity-Upholding honesty, transparency, and ethical practices in all operations.
Collaboration-Fostering partnerships and teamwork to achieve greater impact.
Accountability-Being responsible to stakeholders, donors, and the community.
Innovation-Encouraging creativity and adaptability to address challenges effectively.
Service-Centering efforts on providing meaningful and impactful support.
Our 3-Year Strategic Plan
Theme:
Delivering Value to Our Members
Pillar One:
Deliver Educational Events
Create workshops and seminars to be held in Delhi that address important concerns and interests of our members. Explore topics in business, finance, technology, law, and the economy, etc. Some will be held morning, some mid-day, some evening. Most will be experts who are located in Norfolk County.
Pillar Two:
Communication
Use multiple methods to reach our members and others who should be members. Use the website (a new and better website), Social Media like FaceBook and Instagram, Emails to our members, and when possible, radio and newspapers. Also, keep the information relevant and frequent.
Pillar Three:
Business to Business Networking
Create more opportunities for local business owners and leaders to talk to each other. Add networking to all of our events. Add more networking events, like Business After 5. Develop cross-referral activities where the customers of a business are introduced to related businesses.
